It sounds like your MacBook's display may be damaged. The white flashing lines you saw previously may have been a precursor to this larger issue. If your MacBook is still under warranty, you may want to contact Apple Support to see if they can repair or replace the display for you. If it is not under warranty, you may need to take it to an Apple authorized repair shop or an independent repair shop that specializes in Mac repairs.

Before taking your MacBook in for repairs, it's a good idea to back up all your important data. Depending on the extent of the damage, there may be a risk of data loss during the repair process.

My MacBook Air M1 A2337 experienced a screen crack within less than six months of gentle use.

Apple's proposed solution was to charge $500 for repairs, justifying it as a fair diagnostic fee. This is unjustifiable considering the premium price of $1100 that I paid for a product expected to be durable.

It's concerning that a high-end MacBook would exhibit such a significant issue in such a short timeframe, suggesting a potential design flaw.

Apple needs to acknowledge this issue, recall all defective products, and provide free repairs for their faulty devices!

Until then, I strongly advise against purchasing Apple MacBook.
