Find My App

Is there a way to remove old labels (ie work, home) associated with my shared location contacts?????? I keep getting a message “CANNOT ADD LABEL” “You have reached the maximum number of labels”.

Hi ezryder57,

For help regarding Find My labels, check editing rather than adding a new location using the information below found in the article here: Find people and share your location with Find My

"Other things you can do

When you open the Find My app, select the People tab, then choose the name of a person. You can:

  • See that person's contact card.
  • Select Directions to navigate to the person's location in Maps.
  • Choose Notifications to see when a person's location changes or to notify people that your location has changed.
  • Add the person to Favorites or remove them. Members of Family Sharing can't be removed from Favorites.
  • Select Edit Location Name to label their location."

You can also use the section "Share location-based notifications" in the same article to edit or add new locations you have notifications set for.

If you continue to have an issue, test editing the location directly from the Contacts app. Edit contacts on iPhone - Apple Support

Cheers.
