Why is it telling me it will take 13 hours to update my watch

Your guess is as good as mine. Most likely your internet download speed has been assessed as <slow> or the connection is unstable. You might also see some strange predicted times if your download speed is variable or you have gamers grabbing bandwidth on your WiFi connection. I have seen a 10 hour prediction go to 10 minutes when the internet picked up speed.
