How do I upload files from my MacBook Pro to a CD in my externally connected USB SuperDrive?

Depends on what you're looking to do. There are a variety of ways. I've used iTunes (and the replacement) to burn CDs from audio files that I have.
Inserting a blank CD works where it will bring up a folder that you can drag files/folders to, then start burning the CD.
