Bluetooth won't toggle on
I have a 2017 iMac updated with Ventura 13.3.1. Yesterday, the bluetooth quit working. I cannot toggle it on. In an attempt to fix it, I have:
-restarted computer (approx one million times)
-unplugged all devices from USB ports
-deleted bluetooth, keyboard and mouse-related .plist files in both Library/Preferences and Library/Preferences/Byhost
-stopped bluetooth process in Activity Monitor
-reset bluetooth via terminal (sudo pkill bluetoothd)
One time, I did a combination of the above items (but I don't remember what order or even which things I did) and the bluetooth restarted! My wireless magic mouse and keyboard worked! But next time I restarted the computer, bluetooth was off again and now I can't seem to recreate whatever magic I performed before.
I'm currently using my son's hideously obnoxious wired gaming mouse that lights up and takes up all kinds of precious space on my small desk, and fortunately my apple keyboard is working because I've got it plugged into the computer via USB. Of course these options are better than nothing, but thought someone might know what else I could try to get the bluetooth to work again?! Thanks for any suggestions!
