USB Devices freeze intermittently on Ventura 13.3.1

I'm using a HP USB-C/A Universal Dock G2 with a 2021 MacBook Pro on Ventura 13.3.1.

I am getting intermittent freezing on all my USB devices connected via the docking station. I have narrowed it down to these error message which consistently appears when the freezing occurs but an unable to decipher it. (See image attached). Specifically the Fault error "AppleUserUSBHostHIDDevice:0x100001e73 Matching has vendor DeviceUsagePage : ff00 bundleIdentifier com.apple.driver.AppleALSColorSensor ioclass AppleSPUVD6287 but transport and vendorID is missing". Can anyone please help?

I don't know if my issues are related to yours but since i've upgraded to Ventura from Monterey i've noticed the following issues:

(i have a 2017 intel imac retina 5k)

  • my usb devices randomly disconnect for a few seconds
  • if the screen is off, often all my devices (bluetooth and usb) stop working and the only way for fixing it is a reboot pressing the power button

it's like there is a power management issue that randomly occurs and nothing helps but a physical reboot.

I tried to do a clean installation and the problem happens again.
