Siri spoken responses

Im still having this same issue and it is now Oct 26th 2023 and still no fix. Will this ever be resolved as this is a critical feature for folks that uses Siri on their phones and Homepod to control Homekit devices and phone will driving. Any update on a resolution?

I just had this problem for about a month and I simple asked Siri to speak louder and the voice came on asking did I want it to speak louder! I did the latest update and also checked my settings. It’s ( Siri) responding now…also turn the volume with the side buttons.

You might want to try restarting your iPhone to see if that helps:

(Will often restore order) Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

If that hasn't helped, you could check through your settings:

Eg: says (For iOS16):

Go to Settings  > Siri & Search, then ... :

Change when Siri provides voice responses: Tap Siri Responses, then choose an option below Spoken Responses.

Wondering which iOS version is installed on your iPhone.

Maybe an update may help:

Eg: About iOS 16 Updates - Apple Support says 16.4.1 is the latest.

Thinking most would select either spoken responses or show captions.
