Airdrop "Unable to Share. There was an error while preparing to share. Please try again later."

I'm using Airdrop to move photos from my phone to my computer, since the Back up feature in iTunes doesn't work. It has moved some photos just fine, but now I'm consistently getting this message:

"Unable to Share. There was an error while preparing to share. Please try again later."

IPhone 7 running 13.5.1

Maybe you are trying to move lots of Photos in one go.

Whether I move 9, or just 1, I get this message. Do you know what it means? Or what causes this?

It also seems to be sporadic. Often I get the error message, but other times it works. It's very strange!
