Hello, I am also facing a similar issue, so can you please let me know what an optical cable is? Can you please suggest a brand for such cables too? And, I am confused about the connecter at the end of the cable, which is supported by my device or not.

Thanks

It’s a flexible bundle of long glass fibers that transmit light. Search on “digital optical cable” or “fiber optic audio”. Belkin and Crest make them, and so does Philips who has been in the glass product business for ages.

Your audio device needs a socket that looks the same shape as the one on the back of your Apple TV box - the rectangular D-shaped one that lights up red.
