Share ringtones from iPhone to Apple Watch Ultra

I have spent years carefully curating my ringtones so that I don’t spend my entire days responding to scammers, solicitors, and jerks, and so that the few calls that I *do* want/need to receive each have a very special ringtone so I know in a split second who’s calling. How do I share these curated ringtones and associations with contacts from my iPhone to all of my watches, including the brand new ultra I just put on my wrist?

seems to indicate that this is not possible, but I have seen thousands of other people who want the same thing so badly that they took the effort to come to the Internet looking for a solution. Shirley, Apple isn’t going to capriciously deny us something that is this high in demand! 🙄

So I’m hoping that someone knows where this is implemented, or if it’s implemented in a beta woperating system, or if there is a kludge to make it Just Work®️.

Having the same sound for every interruption is a nonstarter—doing that makes this technology worse than not having it at all.
