I want to uninstall apps (ie Discord, Steam Games) from my laptop but nothing is working! When I click and hold on the apps so they jiggle, no X appears in the corner and when I try to move them to my trash can they won't go.

What you do to Apps in Mission Control will NOT Un-Install anything.
Apps that were installed by drag and drop into the /Applications folder are removed by drag and drop to the trash.
Apps that were installed by a complex installer program, need the manufacturer-provided un-Installer to be removed.
