Mexico City Timezone listed as UTC -5 in the community preferences

I just recently returned to the community and updated my profile.

I've been having some issues with a 13 inch late 2008 MacBook running El Capitan.

As you may know, Daylight Savings Time (DST) has been cancelled by presidential order in Mexico, but my MacBook did not care and changed to DST anyway.

I do have several other Macs an iMacs that handle the timezone just right.

As I was updating my profile, on the location option, Mexico City is listed as "GMT -5:00 America/Mexico City".

Mexico city is currently UTC -6

Could it be the DST error be Apple wide?

Just Wondering if anyone has any insight on what to do or how to tell Apple that Mexico is UTC -6 this year.

Best regards

Mislik

There is an email contact for the forum moderators in the ASC Terms of Use. The link is in small print at the bottom of the current page.

If the issue goes beyond the forums, then this link is appropriate:

Feedback - Apple.com Website - Apple

Use the first option under "Select Feedback Category."
