Just recently I stopped getting messages from droid users as well as some group texts (probably a droid user in the group). When I checked settings the "Send as SMS" option was not there. Someone suggested that it could be a carrier issue, but we have multiple other lines (all iPhones) on the same plan and none of them are experiencing this problem. Any thoughts?
"Send as SMS" has absolutely nothing to do with sending messages to Android phones. All that setting does, if enabled, is to, in the even an iMessage (blue) fails, resend the message as an SMS.
SMS is a carrier features. If all the phones are on the same carrier, that does indeed support it being a carrier issue. Contact them.
