scribble text conversion too fast

Since the latest update, scribble is basically unusable. When I try to write a word anytime I pick up my pen it try’s to mak a word before I am finished writing the word. For instance: writing my name “Max” often is M ai” or “may in cursive.

is there any way to slow it down or delay the conversion longer?
