forcing ipad sound to speakers?

When I plug in a usb hub that has several extras such as hdmi, Ethernet, ect… the sound from my iPad defaults to the hub therefor can get any sound from my iPad speakers unless I unplug it.

is there any way to select my sound source?

if not apple can you please stop making your devices so restrictive and fix this? A simple hold finger in control centre over volume and selecting device would be a great simple fix.

Unfortunately you can’t select iPad speakers, only Bluetooth devices, headphones, ect..

I read plenty of other forums and many having same issues and say theirs no resolution.

thanks for reaching out though. Hope you have an amazing day ✌️

Try doing this from the Control Center. Swipe down from the top right corner of the screen to bring up the Control Center. Then one of the items there shows what audio is playing and has playback controls. At the top right corner of this module you'll see an icon that looks like a triangle with semicircles above it. Tap that to see a list of output devices. Then select the one you want and the audio should switch to it.
