Install older version software from recognized developer

I am running Catalina with it's last version update: 10.15.7 - built in obsolescence prevents using new software from developer of TeamViewer, their knowledge-base provides a link to TeamViewer ver 14.7-15x, which is specific to this Mac OS.

I downloaded the software, setup to install, and upon running I received this message: “Install TeamViewer.pkg” can’t be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software." What is the workaround for this important and safe software installation?

You may also need to visit System Preferences > Security & Privacy > General > Apps downloaded from:

There may be new entry in there to open/install TeamViewer.pkg anyway and you would click that. Then your installer should work.
