Apps removed from App Store still take up space. Why?

Probably because you didn’t delete them from the phone, you just removed them from the Home screen. Go to the App Store and try to download one of these “deleted” apps; if it says Open then the app is still on your phone. You can also go to the App Library (the last page of the Home screen) and see if those apps are in the alphabetical list that appears if you tap on Search. If they are delete them. If you don’t see an option to delete and you have Screen Time enabled, go to Settings/Screen Time/Content & Privacy Restrictions/iTunes & App Store Purchases and change Deleting Apps to Allow.


Then try deleting the app again.
