After a recent tvOS update, TV series episodes e.g. on Netflix have started automatically playing after an episode is over. How can I make it not do that? Somewhere I saw something about a setting under Accessibility and Motion, and I turned that off, but it still happens.
The topic for this post ought to be tvOS, not Apple TV app, but that option is not available.

I even tried a full reset (not reset and update) and still have the problem. I don't have the problem when watching on a browser, Tivo box or Bluray player. It's only when I use the Apple TV 4k and I only noticed it happening starting 4/7/2023. I did not have this problem the last 4 years with the same device. Since a full reset did not solve the problem, I wonder if the problem is with the Netflix app for Apple TV.

It looks like the factory reset on the Apple TV device is not resetting to the original level. Instead it updates to the current level (16.4). I made sure that the automatic updates setting was turned off before I did the reset.
I've since logged into Netflix with several other devices (Oppo and Panasonic bluray players) and neither has the problem.
Yes, it is looking like a bug in the Netflix app, perhaps triggered by a tvOS update. I brought it up with Netflix customer support today, so maybe if they get enough complaints they will look into it.
Behavior of the Netflix app is determined by the code of the Netflix app, and your account settings with Netflix. This part is not a setting on Apple TV for this app. This would be managed through their site (or on mobile).
