Mail not completely syncing across devices

Whilst mail is syncing in terms of each mail appearing on each of my three devices (MacBook Pro, iPhone 12 and iPad Mini) when a mail is read or deleted on one device it doesnt appear as such on either of the other two devices regardless of from which device the mail was read or deleted.


Please be gentle with me as not claiming to be the brightest LED in the array!

Hi Shannon, thank you for your reply. And of course I agree with everything that you say - it’s the would “should” however! All checked, just as it was when I contacted Apple support, who suggested that it may be an issue with my server!

the irony however, is having sat and deleted a load of mails off my iPad mini; lo and behold they have also disappeared from my iPhone! I look forward to getting home and seeing if the e also disappeared from my MacBook Pro! I will let you know.
