I can’t close apps

Having summoned the App Switcher, to force-close an App, you need to swipe the App fully off the top-edge of the screen.

You also can't close all apps at once, so if you have 15 things open, you have to close them one by one by tediously swiping all of them off the screen. Such a baffling and awful design decision. So much of the UI is needlessly complicated.
