time machine

Time Machine says backup not completed because MacBook Pro was on battery but it was connected to power. Happens repeatedly. How do I fix this?

Ttry connecting using the full power of the MagSafe connector, if so equipped, or a direct connection from the power adapter, not through any other devices that might reduce the power level.
