Apple Watch SE scrolling by itself

Since I got it, the se has been scrolling. I have tried disabling the haptics as it’s very annoying, I’ve restarted, cleaned it, reinstalled software, I’ve tried everything. I see now that this is an issue that apple requests you send to them for repair but if it’s a known issue- then fix it? This issue seemingly happens randomly in all models. I’ve stopped using my watch as a result, and I won’t be buying a replacement. The quote to fix it is over $250 from apple so do I just toss it into the nether? This is ridiculous

Make sure you are wearing the watch properly.

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.

As a last resort, follow the above procedure for unpairing and pairing the watch, but do not restore the backup. Set the watch up as new instead. There should be no loss of Fitness data or Awards since those are stored on the paired iPhone, not the watch.
