Hello Mixaa70,
Thank you for reaching out. Generic drivers for printing and scanning are usually provided either though the macOS updates or the manufacturer of your printer and scanner (if they have some really custom features). Generally if the printer is connected and you check for updates, macOS will attempt to download something to get the device working. When did your printer/scanner stop working? Was this after an update or issue?
Have you backed up your mac previously?

Hello Pshill84,
Here is an article that can be helpful. Printer drivers (the things that make sure the computer and the printer speak the same language) can be difficult to track down.

If this does not help then you may need to reach out to the printer manufacturer to see if their hardware is compatible with the new macOS. They may also have the drivers needed. Apple typically only provides basic drivers that are more or less universal. They usually cover print, so you can use your printer. Advanced features need the printer manufacturer to tell the computer how to handle those features. Scanning and faxing are advanced features that get implemented a little different here and there.
Once you have the drivers and confirmed that the hardware is compatible with the manufacturer, you may still need to follow the manufacturers instructions to get those drivers to work with your Mac. I would say that it is a safe bet to call Apple if you have computer issues installing the drivers with the printer manufactures instructions.
Keep in mind though, Apple cannot force another company to be compatible and does allow them access to beta software to iron out bugs.
All that said, you would be surprised how many times uninstalling the printer and drivers then reinstalling them based on your printer manufacturers instructions will work.
If it doesn't and to prepare you for possible issues in the future. Time machine is a great way to take your computer back to a time where it worked.

P.S.
What is wrong with iCloud keychain to hold your password data? if you don't mind me asking?
Broke my Canon MG 5420 scanner function with the Mac. A previous OS broke the Canon IJ Scan Utility but I could still scan from the print que "open scanner" button. Until today when I upgraded to 13.3. Now that button is greyed out.
(It also broke 1Password integration with Safari and login via the Apple Watch.)
I have an older Samsung laser printer and it works fine under 13.3 using the Samsung Universal Driver.
