Call failure

I generally can't make or receive calls from my iPhone x.I dial the number and call but it immediately writes call ended and never places the call.If someone calls me,I pick it up and it ends immediately in milliseconds.Please why is this?

I have reset network settings and every other recommended step but it doesn't work.

1.

Try to remove and reinsert the SIM card.

If it doesn't help visit your carrier, maybe the SIM card is damaged, ask for a replaced (new) card. Normally it is free.

Ask also to check if the SIM tray is bent, as even a tiny misalignment can cause the SIM card to not fully connect with the internal contacts in your iPhone.

79% is not healthy and means the weak battery cannot supply sufficient power to the iPhone's antenna. Have the aging, original battery replaced:
