I used to be able to automatically import photos from my iPhone to my iMac using WiFi.
I now have to connect my iPhone to my iMac with a USB cable and manually import photos. Apparently Apple wants everyone to use iCloud to sync all their photos. I don't. Have I correctly understood my options?

Make sure both devices are signed into the same WiFi LAN. If you have both 2.5 Ghz and a 5 Ghz LAN make sure both are on the same one.
Then all I can suggest is to toggle the My Photo Stream off and on with both devices.
Make sure you have My Photo Stream enabled on both devices. On the Mac it's done in the Photos/iCloud settings pane. On the iPhone it's in the Settings/Photos section.
You might have to reboot both devices if they don't connect right away.
Old Toad, I've tried what you've described a couple of times, even given it a day to work...no success. Any further thoughts?
Toggling My Photo Stream off and on has solved the issue. I hope it stays fixed.
