Apple Mail app is compromised

Have macOS Catalina on an iMac 27 inch late 2012. My iphone was compromised yesterday and was totally wiped out, not powering up not turning on. Now on my iMac, the mail app is acting funny. Cant seem to find my correct email address to send mail.

I use Brave Browser with a VPN when on the internet...so whatever this is has to be coming via icloud.

Any thoughts from anyone?

The usual fix is to remove the affected email Account(s), and add them again.

Refer to If you can’t send or receive email on your Mac - Apple Support.

First remove: Log out of or remove email accounts in Mail on Mac - Apple Support
Then add: Add email accounts in Mail on Mac - Apple Support

Be sure to heed the Important note in the first document.
