Add to library option gone

I have Apple Music on my iPhone and the add to library option is now gone. I can only add a song to a playlist. The song itself doesn’t appear on my library, only in the playlist making the library more messier and more difficult to find songs. Is this a technical problem or have they just made an idiotic decision?

songs adding to library when i just want to add to my playlist (Apple music) why do when i add a song to one of my playlists on apple music it adds to my library as-well on ios 17. It never used to do this only since i’ve updated my phone. Because if i wanted to add a song to my library i would’ve clicked add to library, I just want the song on my playlist. And this is bothering me a lot because when i add songs and they get added to library i have to scroll all the way down in recently added to get to my playlists.

Add Playlist Songs to Library setting will not remain off Whenever I try to add a song to one of my playlists, it adds the song to my library. I have tried multiple times to shut off “Add Playlist Songs” in music settings, but every time I add a song to a playlist after doing so, it turns back on for no discernible reason. I have updated my phone to the latest software and shut down my iPhone in an attempt to fix the issue, but to no avail. This has been happening for about two days at this point and is extremely frustrating.

I still have option on my iPad, can’t check iphone.

If option is missing, try signing out music app then back in.
