Update apple tv remote
I have Apple TV & am getting a prompt to update the remote. However, it doesn’t allow me to select either yes or no. What am I doing wrong?

If the firmware of an Apple TV Remote needs updating, then keep it connected and have the Apple TV box on but idle. Let it do its thing, while not doing other things. It would be without any further user interaction.
If the notification persists after a day, then contact Apple Support about it. Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support
