Are there known WIFI issues with iOS/ipad OS 16.4?

All of a sudden. Today. Now. I got home to find that none of my iOS devices are connecting to my WIFI network. My computer is connected, but there's no option to share the password and connect (yes, I have myself in my contact list).. And the password I had saved didn't work on my iPad. Therefore, it's not the router, it's not the network, it's not the password. I did recently do the iOS/iPadOS update, though...

Again, this is suddenly with my 3 iOS devices (and I assume also with my Apple TV... though I haven't checked yet. Again... my computer is fine.

Soooo, I tried to enter the P/W again and it worked. All devices are again signed in. But, it doesn't answer the fundamental question; why did this happen to begin with? #inquiringmindswanttoknow

Without more data, it's going to be almost impossible to answer that question. If it's working now and the issue doesn't come back, I'd suggest, in no particular order, gremlins, aliens or cosmic rays as the cause. ;-)

I have updated both my iPad and iPhone and have had no issues with WiFi. At any given time, some people are going to be having issues with WiFi which means some people are going to have trouble right after they update.

One of the first, most basic steps in troubleshooting would be to unplug your router for a couple of minutes and then plug it back in. iOS devices, historically, have tended to be more sensitive to any kind of irregularity in a WiFi connection than notebook or desktop computers. While that seems to have been less of a problem in recent years, it's worth thinking about.
