Importing dv tape shuffles the clips (timecode/timestamps are weird)

Hello. I'm importing minidv tapes to my macbook pro using firewire->thunderbolt 2->thunderbolt 3. The first tape ended up as 6 clips in Project Media, but they're displaying out of order. If I sort the browser by date ascending, their order doesn't change. The "i" for some clips shows a correct timecode (e.g. 2010-11-06 hh:mm:ss), some clips (the ones at the start of the tape) show a weird numeric timecode that's not in yyyy-mm-dd format, and one clip (the first one on the tape) has a timecode of today. Not sure if I did something wrong on the import or if this is just the best iMovie can do. Any way to fix these clips or do the import again and get the correct timecodes? Thanks!
