USB-C ethernet connection not stable with Ventura

Hi,

I can connect through Ethernet with my USB-C adaptor (external or the one integrated in my monitor), it is correctly recognized, but it just keeps disconnecting/reconnecting all the time.

As a result, I lose connections to my remote machines, and it is simply impossible to have a continuous stream correctly conveyed, such as when I listen to a web radio.

It seems to me it could be related to upgrading to Ventura, but I have no certainty.

So far, based on what I found on the web, I have tried:

  • setting the LAN parameters manually
  • creating a bridge service integrating the USB LAN interface

But none of these have solved my issue.

Does anyone experience the same problem and have solutions to propose?

Some updates if they can be of interest to anyone:

I have observed this problem with two different USB-C hubs containing both USB and RJ45 possibilities.

Using a USB-C/ RJ45 adapter does not lead to the same instability.

So it seems the problem comes mainly from adapters offering both USB and Ethernet capabilities. I'd be happy to from people encountering the same problem OR NOT with this kind of versatile adapter.
