No watermark in print menu on Ventura

I see this article that says a Watermark option is available in the Print menu on macOS Ventura, however, I do not have a Watermark section in the print dialog box. I've tried with different apps (Preview, Pages, etc.) on my Mac, but see nothing. Print pages or images with a watermark on Mac - Apple Support

I had issues getting the Watermark option to appear in Sonoma 14.4.1. I was able to find a workaround. Here is what worked for me.

1) Create a fake AirPrint printer

a) Settings -> Printers & Scanners -> Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax

b) Address => localhost, Protocol => AirPrint

c) Add

2) Open the PDF with Preview and hit Print

3) Make sure the `localhost` printer is selected

4) In my system, the Watermark option appears at the bottom of the Print dialogue.

Here's a screenshot of my print window. The last item is Printer Info with nothing below it.

You can try a SafeBoot How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Takes a bit longer to get to the login screen, does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, including dynamic loader cache, font cache, etc., third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled.

Login and test. Reboot  as normal and test.  Caches get rebuilt automatically.

To trouble shoot further you can:

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

Open your image— Command P opens the print dialog..

Scroll to the bottom and spin the carrot

I figured it out. If you don't have at least one printer set up, those features won't show, even if you don't actually print but opt to 'save as pdf'. I know because I just removed the one printer I had set up and the watermark feature disappeared. As soon as I added the printer back, the feature reappeared.

Seems silly, hopefully, Apple makes it so that a printer isn't needed to be able to watermark a PDF you're downloading.

@VikingOSX, yes, everything is green. My screen looks just like yours.

I had the most recent version of macOS when I originally posted my question. I'm now running the lastest Ventura 13.5 and still don't have the option. I do have a printer connected and can print.

I continue searching for possible reasons for the missing Watermark section but can't find anything further....so aggravating.
