How does this work for kids who have split family homes? They have to choose which family to join?

I suspect though, that Apple is fully aware of this issue for some people. However, coming up with a solution may be very complicated and not practicable. If you can think of a way to let this be possible but not so that people will start abusing it as a way to get access to multiple family groups at the same time, I am sure Apple would like to hear about it.
