Water damage iphone 11

I poured some water on my iPhone 11. The phone is fairly new and all I did was pour some water on the top of the phone (not the speakers). About an hour later I noticed some water in the screen so I turned it off and left it to dry overnight out of its case with no SIM card but it only got worse in the morning. Does anyone know how to solve this?

The phone still seems to work just fine but I’m worried about charging it or using it too much because it might break the phone. But for now I will let it try and hope for the best.

Here is what Apple recommends, if an iPhone gets wet:

About splash, water, and dust resistance of iPhone 7 and later - Apple Support

No “dry it in rice”. Rice usually has rice dust, and wet rice dust inside electronics is a mess as it solidifies.

It’ll either work when dried out, or it won’t. The standard warranty doesn’t cover water damage, though AppleCare+ (if you purchased that) might cover it, with a deductible.

If it doesn't resolve on its own, the phone will have to replaced. Water damage is often permanent and can't be fixed. Apple won't offer service on a phone with water damage. See if it dries on its own, but if issues persist, you'll be looking at buying either an Out of Warranty replacement phone or a new iPhone if you want a newer model.
