External M.2 NVME leads to disconnects
I use a 2018 MacMini 3.2GHz (intel), Monterey OS and use the computer for music production with Logic Pro. I recently purchased an OWC Thunderbolt Hub and use three different types of enclosures - Inateck, Orico and Sabrent (USB- C 10GB) - with NVMe SSD WD Blue and Samsung. I've tried all possible combinations with NVMe, connecting the NVMe directly to the MacMini, but the disconnection problem remains the same. The drive disconnects even though I'm not using it, so it's hardly a stress issue!! At first I thought it was due to the OWC Thunderbolt Hub. But on one of the 3 Thunderbolt ports of the hub I connected a Samsung X5 (thunderbolt 3 drive) and I never had any kind of problem. Of course I also tried to change the cables, but to no avail. I disabled the option in Energy Saver: "put hard disks to sleep when possible”. Among other things, I don't have a precise idea on which cables to buy, I bought some SS20GB cables to test but I didn't solve it. I have no more ideas....
