Auto correct to german

I’ve never had a German keyboard on my phone or anything like that and my default language is set to English but for some reason some words get corrected to German. I’ve tried factor reset of my keyboard settings and it hasn’t helped.

iPhone SE, iOS 16

Use this Site: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. Backup what need be (i.e. enable Contacts in iCloud Settings or email things to yourself)Erase all content from your device. Then start it anew. It would come to the startup screen. Proceed from there with the login. Contact your carrier, if need be.

Hello ApplePie8104!

Please go to: Settings > General > Keyboards. Now, see if you have the German keyboard selected along with the English and probably Emoji keyboard.

To remove the German keyboard (or any keyboard you want to remove,) just tap Edit in the top right corner, then tap the red circle with a white line in the center next to: “German (Germany)”, (or it can say: German (Austria) or German (Switzerland),) then tap Delete.

I hope this is helpful. Good Luck!
