My iPhone 14 Pro Max calls are going to voicemail

My iPhone 14 Pro Max suddenly has calls going to voice mail to callers not on contact list. All my settings have been checked then rechecked to allow all callers. Issue still continues.

Ensure that you have Silence Unknown Callers in your phone settings set to OFF. Once you have confirmed this and are still having calls from unknown callers go straight to voicemail, then contact your carrier and check whether there any spam/scam call filters that may be active on your account at their side.

Upon updating my iPhone to 16.4 today the problem has been resolved. I checked my phone 30 minutes before I even knew there was an update and all calls not in my address book were still going to my voicemail immediately. After I found out there was an update to 16.4. I updated my iPhone and afterwords my phone now rings when I receive a call and it’s not in my address book therefore, it must’ve been a software problem that Apple resolved

Were there any settings in that app that you had to clear before you deleted the Verizon Spam Filter app? In other words, return settings in the app to normal before deleting it? I ask because I am not sure whether simply deleting the app also returns the Verizon server side settings to normal.

In the end, I recommend that you stay on top of things with Verizon because it appears that you have tried and done all of the things that have been recommended for this issue.

Thank for the information. I have as you suggested and have unknown callers as being off. The phone has been reset as though I was trading it in. Apple did a diagnostic on the phone and they found nothing. I spent hours on the phone with the carrier (Verizon) and they cannot find anything. They have it escalated to a higher tech. I'm still waiting what they say. I only have the Verizon spam call filter on may phone. Just not sure what's going on, never had this issue b before on my iPhone 14 Pro Max.
