App installed in download folder

App (NOT the disk image) accidentally installed in the download folder. Is it as simple as dragging the app out of the download folder and into the HD's applications folder?

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 13.2

Almost.

When you do drag that App into the Applications folder (which you should) it will demand your Admin password. Then it will think about it, maybe a minute longer than seems appropriate, and eventually, it will be done.

What it does that takes so long is open the locked, checksummed Volume that is the System Folder, check the new Application for classic virus patterns in the executable portions, add the new Application to the locked system Volume, create a new checksum, and lock it up again.
