We understand that you'd like to know the differences in calorie counts on your Apple Watch.


The top number is your Move calories for the day and the bottom number is your Move calories for the week. You can learn more about how the Activity features of your Apple Watch works here: Track daily activity with Apple Watch - Apple Support

"See your weekly summary

  1. Open the Activity app  on your Apple Watch.
  2. Turn the Digital Crown to scroll to the bottom of the screen, then tap Weekly Summary.

The summary includes a week’s totals for calories, average calories, steps, distance, flights climbed, and active time."

The total calories for the day include "metabolic" calories from just being alive. It will include additional physical activity too.

In your graphic the 941 moving calories are part of the 1817 metabolic total.

Total calories for humans vary from 1500 to 2500 typically, depending on type of employment, gender etc. Men generally burn more than women.

What is the total calorie count come from. What is it calculated from.
