I can't get the music to expand on iMovie

Im editing YouTube videos in iMovie. It worked perfectly for two days and now when I try to add the music to the video, it does this ! :

OMG... it's working ! I feel stupid but just so you know, I went to the right side of the video to settings and expanded it all the way out..... then the music did !!!

Drag out the right hand edge of the audio clip.

Also, try deleting preferences by opening iMovie while holding down the option and Command keys, and selecting to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will usually open in a new blank library. If so, reopen your old library to get back to your projects.

Also, try creating a new project and doing your project there.

Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly. Unfortunately they didnt work. Ive been trying to expand it, as Ive done for 7 other videos but now it won't let me expand it. When I drop the track into the movie it shows up very, very small and won't let me expand it. ?????

music does play all the way through . I trimmed the video clip but audio clip didnt expand. again, thanks so much for the help! Ive pulled out a large part of my hair trying to fix this problem ... UGH
