Boot camp

I am getting a Apple 16" MacBook Pro (Late 2019).

I was told that getting boot camp on it would slow down my computer along with a bunch of other not so good things. But based on other research I’ve done I can’t find too much information(I might have not looked in the right places) regarding this topic. Can someone give a list of pros and cons of installing boot camp and if it actually slows the computer down or not?

Thanks

Boot Camp is simply a tool that partitions (splits) the Mac's internal disk, then installs Windows on said partition. Because only one OS is running at a time, the computer can make full usage of the system for each individually. Unlike a VM (virtual machine), which runs both (one in a virtual container), using Boot Camp allows your computer to run each OS as well as possible. To answer your question, it won't affect the macOS partition, as it won't be running when Windows is running, and vice versa.
