Can you use the camera on Apple Cinema Display for Zoom meetings?

I'm using an Apple LED Cinema Display with my 2022 MacBook Air. I usually keep my MacBook Air closed when connected to the Cinema Display so I'd like to use the camera on the Display for Zoom meetings but Zoom doesn't seem to recognize the Display camera. I went into the Zoom application to switch over to the Display camera but it's not showing up as an option.

I'm currently using a Amiroko thunderbolt to USB-C adapter. I tried using an adapter from Apple but my laptop doesn't show up at all on the Display (black screen).

Any suggestions?

This was working for me until this week. I was able to choose LED Cinema for camera, mic and speaker -- now it's only an option in the speaker choices: camera and mic are no longer available. I have rebooted MacBook Pro M1 2020 and the LCD Cinema monitor (much older).
