Flaw in web and content restrictions

I’ve been using time limit and content restriction options for my devices and they work really well but recently I’ve noticed that despite adding to content restrictions the option to allow only approved websites , when you enter the name of any website ,that is not included in the approved list ,with 1.pdf after the URL name ex: amazon.com/1.pdf you can view the page , is there a way to solve this issue?

Hi there Lista01,

Do you notice the same issue if you choose "Unrestricted" for Web Content in Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Content Restrictions > Web Content (if you have an iPad device), restart your device (or devices), and then change it back to your preferred setting for web restrictions? For a Mac with macOS Ventura, you could do this by opening System Settings > selecting Screen Time in the left sidebar > Content & Privacy > Content Restrictions> Web Content.

We're asking this as sometimes toggling a setting and restarting can help resolve issues.

Another step you can take is to ensure that your device or devices are fully up-to-date, as that can also help resolve issues. You tagged you have an iPad but we see this thread is in macOS, so the two articles below may help if you have both an iPad and Mac device:

Please let us know if those steps help or if you've already tried those steps.

Take care.
