What is my iPhone selecting when it charges to reduce my carbon footprint? What is the Clean Energy Charging’s definition of lower carbon-emission electricity, and how often is that available? Thank you for your time and consideration
As your fellow end users (Apple does not answer here) all we can do is quote the "Related Article" above your user name that says:
When Clean Energy Charging is enabled and you connect your iPhone to a charger, your iPhone gets a forecast of the carbon emissions in your local energy grid and uses it to charge your iPhone during times of cleaner energy production.
Logically, the function has to use location services to "get a forecast" for your local grid. If you need more than the article provides, you will have to ask Apple.
