2023 Macbook pro 16" M2 Max crashes randomly - CPU8 failed to shut down

Specs:

  • Macbook Pro 16" 2023
  • Apple M2 Max
  • Ventura 13.2.1

I've had my new mac for about a month now. I have the following apps open when it crashes randomly

  • iMessage
  • Spotify
  • Chrome - youtube and general browsing
  • Parallels

This happens around 2-3 times a day at random intervals and I can't pinpoint to what causes the crash. I've hard restarted, powered off and on and tried in safe mode and it still crashes

Kernel Panics are predominately caused by hardware faults or faulty third-party kernel extensions.

If you a have tested without your suspect (listed) third party apps running...and no insight

You can always take it in —

Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"
