No, Apple will not use one of their computers for your backups. You can upgrade your icloud plan, but you will still need to create more empty space for downloads. Backing up will not create extra space.
Upgrade to iCloud+ - Apple Support
You should be able to perform an iCloud backup. While you free iCloud storage is limited to 5GG, you can subscribe to 50GB, 200GB or 2TB of iCloud storage - which should be sufficient to perform an iCloud backup for even the largest iPad Pro.
These support pages should provide all the information that you require to backup your iPad to iCloud:
Upgrade to iCloud+ - Apple Support
iCloud+ plans and pricing - Apple Support

You would have to talk to Apple personnel at an Apple Store directly. We are mostly just other users trying to help each other, and we have no special connections with Apple personnel.
We also only see postings on a delayed basis. You cannot expect an immediate answer here. It's not a chat room; more like a bulletin board.
Can I make an appointment at the Apple Store and bring in my iPad so they can hook it up to a computer there
