iMac inbox keeps showing "Sending x of x messages"

When I open the inbox of my Apple Mac there is a constant notation at the bottom left corner saying that it is "Sending x of x messages". What does this mean? My outgoing messages appear to be getting sent. Is there a way to check this, or just delete this notation?

Please help us help you:

  • What desktop Mac?
  • What is the Mac's sub-model (the part with a year)?
  • What macOS version is it running.
  • What are you using to manage mail? A mail client like Apple Mail or MS Outlook? A web page?

We are end users like you with no ability to see, touch, or remotely access your device. Without details only you can provide, we are blind and unable to effectively help you.

Another thing: this forum section is for Apple iMacs made before 2006. Is your device that old?

using the Apple Mail app that came native to the iMac. No webpage.

Below are the specs if they are useful. Is there a forum for older Mac models or do I just need to call Apple Support
