Apple Wallet Smartrip Card Removal Issue

I was unable to close out my last metro trip in Wash DC so the guard let me out with her pass. I’m now unable to delete the Smartip card from my Apple Wallet. Called their customer service team who stated there was nothing they could do! Anyone run into this problem before?

I’m able to get to the ‘Remove Card’ function however, when selected it prompts this:

“Card in transit. Card is being used on a journey…”

Hello DSmartrip,


What is happening when you try to remove the pass from the Wallet app? Is there no "More" button on the pass to select? Are you able to get into "More" but then there's no Remove Pass option? Are you able to select the Remove Pass option, but then nothing happens? Etc.


Details like these will help give the community a better idea of what exactly you're seeing so members can provide more relevant responses.

Based on the troubleshooting you have already tried, it might be helpful for you to speak directly with Apple about this issue.
