Duplicate texts to myself

Hi there. I text myself all the time with things to remember. Recently after getting ios16 I get duplicate texts. One is an imessage in blue that i sent, and one is a "reply" to myself.

I tried toggling off imessage altogether and resetting. I removed my email address from send and receive and now only have my phone number, that didn't fix it. This only happens when texting myself.

I also tested it on my macbook and the same thing happens.

Additionally, when I delete messages on one device (such as my phone) it doesn't delete it on the other (such as my ipad or macbook)
