How do I get my Siri rebooted on my iPhone SE?

How do I get my Siri rebooted on my iPhone SE? I’ve tried all troubleshooting and a factory reset only to end up with the same problem. Siri hears my demand but never answers with anything other than “working on it” or “got it” before telling me “something went wrong and try again “! Very frustrating because I’ve recently converted from Android to IPhone and on top of the normal differences the two create for new users there is this one which makes absolutely no sense to me with Siri being a amazing and luxurious icon for Apple users.

My talk to text isn’t responding either but I’d sacrifice it to be able to use my Siri. I literally had my phone 4 days before this problem occurred and that wasn’t enough time for me to get it figured out and set up! Just before I did a factory reset my phone quit making calls and sending texts. All of my data was still available during this time though. Siri hasn’t said more than those three sentences since.

I tried turning all of the Siri tabs off and back on and it never prompts me reset her. They simply turn off and back on. I did a network reset and a factory reset on my phone and that did not change anything with Siri issues. I had an update available and downloaded it but still no Siri.

I am starting to believe it is a phone issue with my particular phone. I have only had it a few months and I switched over after 20 years using an Android so I’m upset due to the fact Siri was one of the top reasons I decided to make the switch/change.

Thank you for your help.

Hey A-FrameCompound,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! To reset Siri, you'll follow the steps under "Set up Siri to recognize your voice" in the guide you recently reviewed here: If "Hey Siri" isn't working on your iPhone - Apple Support

Set up Siri to recognize your voice

1. Go to Settings.
2. Tap Siri & Search.
3. Turn off Listen for "Hey Siri," then turn it back on.
4. When the Set Up "Hey Siri" screen appears, tap Continue.
5. Say each command that you see on your screen.
6. Tap Done.

If those steps don't help, let us know more:

  • What happens when you complete those steps, does it complete the setup again?
  • When you restore your iPhone to factory settings, did you use a computer or did you use the Settings on your iPhone?
  • Since menu options can vary, which software version shows in Settings > General > About?

Keep us posted.

Take care!
